The name Aligned PD might make us seem like our focus is purely on professional development that aligns with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. But when it comes down to it, our goal is for every Australian educator to be able to experience alignment between the many facets that make up who they are as capable, talented and passionate individuals in their every day work.
A bit about me...
Master of Leadership (Organisational Learning) My postgraduate studies in Leadership have given me a deep insight into how team dynamics are formed and influenced, and how productive, healthy and happy teams can arise with the right kinds of leadership behaviours. My central thesis examined teacher well-being in the context of state- and nation-wide neoliberal reform of educational policies, systems and practices. As such, my primary interest is in how teachers can be best supported to feel empowered and valued in their work as educators and members of their school community.

Lead Teacher I was awarded my Lead accreditation in 2019. The initiatives that formed the basis of my work in the accreditation process centred primarily on integrated, cross-curricular program development through Years 7-9, and the design of whole-school teacher professional learning policies and processes.

An Educator In my years as a teacher, I have taught primarily in Year 11 and 12 Chemistry, and Years 8-10 Science. I've held a number of leadership positions, however, my most enjoyable role was that of Director of Curriculum and Innovation. Although I had formal leadership positions in my early career, I also quickly learnt that you don't need a job title to start being a pivotal and impactful school leader.
